CENACLE 2024
Worldwide Prophetic Intercession Training
From August 1 to 4
Guatemala
At CENACLE 2024 500 prophetic intercessors, from 19 countries from every continent met. Although majority of us were Spanish speaking from all over America, there were attendees speaking English, French and Portuguese. We enjoyed the amazing hospitality of Guatemalan team and participants who shared their hearts with us visitors!
Through the program we received a new afresh baptism of the Holy Spirit, enjoyed uplifting teachings on Mary’s role in intercession, Spiritual Warfare and celebrated anointed liturgies and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Last but not least we did a Jericho March Prayer for the world. Surrendering all nations represented to the Lordship and Kingship of the Eucharistic Jesus.
The reason of the CENACLE, as brother Chev. Cyril John pointed out, was to gather and to listen to the Lord as one body, one army of intercessors. Thus, we took time to listen to the Father’s voice, seeking His guidance on what to focus on as prophetic intercessors for these times. We did that at different moments: through Prophetic Intercession in small groups (6 steps) but also through small group prophetic listening prayer and through individual listening.
CHARIS Intercession Commission collected all what was freely shared by participants either in writing or verbally at the microphone. Throughout all insights received we can point out some issues that emerge repetitively; which gives us a hint about what the Lord wants from us.
For intercessors:
- A call to humility
- A call to perseverance in the midst of trials
- A call to build unity
- A call to Love
- A call to feed our people through our ministry done with boldness but also with discernment and prudence. And to start doing that in our own milieu: our family, neighbourhood, community.
- “Be not afraid” is a sentence received by various participants.
For the Church
- A call not just to intercede but to support our Pope, bishops, priests, deacons and all consecrated vocations in any possible form both individually and as ministry of intercession.
- A call to intercede for unity. Unity in the Church was a topic which appeared once and once again across all our listening and prophetic intercession prayer.
- A call to intercede for conversion inside the Church. A call to do Eucharistic reparation:
“To my wife the Church [I say]: Return to your first love. Be faithful. Be a Mother, be merciful, and then my Kingdom will triumph. Do not be afraid to love!” (Anonymous from Argentina)
- A call to intercede for our Christian brethren who suffer violent persecution. Several intercessors received motions related to that. Several countries and regions were mentioned specifically. One of the turns of the Jericho march was dedicated to this specific intention. But we feel that we should keep take a continuous stand in intercession for this.
- A strong call to truly place the Eucharist a the center of our lives. We received motions such as (these are just few of them):
“My people, the world will be saved only through my Eucharistic presence. I promised you that I would remain among you until the end of time. Many of you still do not appreciate as you should my Eucharistic presence which is among you. If you do not begin to adore my Eucharistic presence every day, this world will not do so and the Church will suffer for ignoring my living presence.” (Cruz Teresa Rosero, USA)
“The Eucharist is the way to reach my heart and the heart of the Father. Reparate and adore with my beloved Mother.” (Elvira Cardenas, Peru)
For the world:
- A strong call to intercede for the family, the domestic church. Several participants reported images related to children in anguish.
- A call to intercede for peace by reparation and sacrifices specially lifting up leaders who need conversion.
Throughout the prayers no matter the topic, a call to get deeper into the Eucharist and the recourse to Our Mother Mary for help was constant
In summary, CENACLE 2024 was a wonderful experience which everyone who attended will treasured in his/her heart. It was a revival for many of us participants. But also a hinge in our lives at committed prophetic intercessors. When the last song ended, CENACLE didn’t end, but just started as most of us got new insights to go forth in mission.
Just one testimony received from Alicia a participant from Argentina:
“I arrived distracted at the beginning. The Lord asked me: did you realize that it was I who called you? Throughout the days He enlightened me. I am returning [to my country] with several purposes:
- Return to personal and community worship
- Pray for my parish priest
- Transmit to the other brothers what I have received
- Restart the intercession group. Praying that He shows me how, when and where to start intercession groups in my diocese.”
CENACLE 2024 was a true moment of Pentecost. And, as in Pentecost, now everyone is sent to their local area to spread the fire of prophetic intercession and in that way become beacons of lights and builders of peace. CENACLE 2024 was a gift not just for us who attended but for the whole Charismatic Renewal.
We invite you to become a beacon of light and a builder of peace in your own area too. How? Through prophetic intercession! By join us spiritually, by praying and acting in accordance with what we received and being open to ther prompts of the Lord in your heart.
